Overview #

This manual provides instructions for assembling and mounting bracing bars onto bracing brackets installed on connectors to provide stability to a gridcell structure.

Note that this guide covers assembly and mounting of bracing bars for a single gridcell, however, the process of installation remains the same for every case.

Assembly steps #

Prerequisites #

1. Bracing brackets within 1 gridcell are installed

Step 1 #

Unscrew bolts from 99.38 turnbuckle jaw-jaw, so bracing bars can be fastened 15.60, 15.61 to it. Fasten bolts with bracing bars in position.

Step 2 #

Repeat step 1 to assemble the second bracing bar.

Step 3 #

Position assembled bracing bar onto bracing bracket, so that 15.61 bracing bar would be on the bottom of the gridcell. Tighten with 99.25 screw and 99.26 hex nut.

Step 4 #

Position assembled bracing bar onto bracing brackets, so that 15.60 bracing bar would be on the top of the gridcell. Tighten with 99.25 screw and 99.26 hex nut.

IMPORTANT: if the bracing bar is too long or short, adjust the jaw-jaw of the bracing bar accordingly.

Step 5 #

Repeat steps 3-4 to install the second bracing bar onto bracing brackets.
